Allow me to introduce myself. Because maybe you already know me and my story, but maybe you don't.

I'm Tina, 31 years old, love riding motorbikes and horses, and traveling as far away as possible. I have a boyfriend, Renzo, who likes to do all that with me. Our lives were pretty much carefree, until last summer.

 

During a road trip through Tuscany in Italy, we were hit by a car while driving a Vespa. We were both seriously injured and brought to different hospitals. In order to save my life, my left leg was amputated. Renzo was more fortunate than me, and got away with severe abrasions and some stitches. No need to say how this turned our lives upside down.

Since then we have already completed a tough journey, and the end is nowhere in sight. But that doesn't mean we laugh less than we used to. On the contrary. Humor is essential, and drags us through the hardest parts. But I'll never deny crying every week either. Because no matter how optimistic we are, every day is still a fight.

​

However, my intention is not to tell how the past 9 months have been. I will tell and show you all that in a book I'm writing. So you'll have to be patient to discover the details about the accident and the following months.

On this website I want to share my everyday battles, dreams, struggles and victories. Not just to keep the interested ones up to date, but also to help me process all that has happened, overcome future obstacles and to never forget how hard I fought to be alive.
